Special Two-Week Horoscope August 26 - September 8, 2024

Week in Overview

This week this is an extended look ahead because I’ve got a busy Labor Day weekend coming up and won’t have time to create a new forecast next week. So let’s get to it!

Monday, August 26th, kicks off with a bit of tension in the air. We’re deep in Virgo season, and with the Gemini moon squaring the Virgo sun just after midnight, you might have felt some restlessness or overthinking creeping in during those overnight hours. If sleep was a bit elusive, that’s the energy at play - our minds are buzzing, perhaps a little too critical or picky. That third-quarter moon square could have been harsh and made us too trigger happy to throw out what’s less than perfect. We do want to release what’s not working ahead of the upcoming new moon, but not go overboard.

There’s a silver lining to this introspective and possibly over-critical
mood. Venus is forming a lovely trine with Uranus in Taurus, bringing in fresh, exciting energy, especially around relationships and finances. This is a chance to see something differently, maybe even shake it up in a way that feels more grounded and authentic. It’s about finding new ways to connect, to seek cooperation over competition. Think of it as an opportunity to learn how to be a bit more forgiving, a little less focused on perfection, and more on genuine connection.

The Gemini moon is making a nice sextile to the North Node in Aries early in the day. Even if the day starts off a bit edgy, we are moving forward, finding balance, and letting go of what doesn’t serve. Relationships still matter, even in this picky Virgo season, so don’t go too far down the road of overanalyzing. Keep an eye out for those moments of clarity, the ones that help you refine how you communicate and express your needs.

Remembering, Mercury is still in the process of stationing direct, so we’re all rethinking and refining how we approach our connections. Today is all about seeing the new potential in old patterns and finding a more grounded but also hear-centred path forward. Avoid being impulsive today.

Tuesday, August 27th, carries some of that electric energy from last night. Venus just perfected her trine to Uranus in Taurus shortly after midnight, which might have sparked some interesting dreams or ideas about love, finances, or even how we relate to ourselves. But the night wasn’t without its twists - if you found yourself tossing and turning, blame it on the Gemini moon squaring Saturn in Pisces. A restless kind of energy, asking us to confront our feelings and thoughts, and maybe challenging our sense of stability. Where are we too rigid?

As the day begins, though, things lighten up. The Gemini moon meets up with Jupiter, and that’s like a burst of sunshine on a cloudy day. There’s an expansive, optimistic feel in the air—perfect for getting out there, sharing ideas, or just enjoying a bit of playful banter. With the moon also sextiling Mercury in Leo and Chiron later on, there’s a healing tone to these conversations. It’s a great morning to speak from the heart, express yourself creatively, or reach out to someone you care about.

However, keep an eye on that developing tension with Venus in Virgo starting to oppose Neptune in Pisces. This can make relationships and finances a bit foggy—what felt like a breakthrough with Venus trine Uranus could suddenly seem confusing or elusive.

Neptune at 29 degrees of Pisces is strong, even while retrograde, and very dreamy, and Venus in those final degrees of Virgo is seeking clarity but might not find it easily. We could be misinterpreting intentions or getting swept away in a fantasy, so try to stay grounded in what you know to be true.

By afternoon, the Gemini moon is with Mars, and the energy picks up again—there’s a spirited, maybe even feisty, vibe in the air. This isn’t a quiet day by any means.

As we head into the night, life could feel very tangled. The Gemini moon forms a T-square with Venus and Neptune. If you have placements in the late degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, or Pisces—especially between 26 and 29 degrees—you might feel this pressure most intensely.

Relationships could seem like they’re on a seesaw, swinging between clarity and confusion. Tonight avoid making any hasty decisions, and maybe just let things settle before taking action.

Wednesday, August 28th, is one of those days where we could be wondering, ‘What is even happening?’ It is a bit all over the place, to say the least.

We start the day with the Cancer moon - home in its own sign, bringing a wave of emotion, sensitivity, and introspection. This waning moon is in its darkening phase, making everything feel a bit quieter, a bit more inward. It could be a slow morning, almost like  moving through a fog, not quite sure where we are headed.

But by midday, it takes an interesting turn. The Cancer moon makes a lovely sextile to the Virgo sun, helping us connect with what feels good and right. It’s a great moment for some self-reflection, to ask yourself, ‘What truly feels like home? What nurtures me?’ We might feel more in tune with our emotions, ready to make grounded choices.

But here’s where it gets tricky: that same Cancer moon is also squaring the Aries North Node and the Libra South Node. It’s like being caught between a rock and a hard place—trying to figure out where you feel at ease versus where you feel pushed or pulled by others.

And just to add a layer on top, Venus in Virgo in her last day here, is exactly opposing Neptune in Pisces at 29 degrees. This is a weird, foggy, and confusing energy. On one hand, Venus in Virgo wants to be precise, to analyze every detail, but Neptune in Pisces just blurs the lines, making it hard to see clearly.

We could be second-guessing or feeling uncertain about relationships or finances. This opposition is like trying to find clarity in a dream - everything feels just out of reach.

And of course, right in the middle of all this, Mercury is stationing direct today just after 2 p.m. When Mercury changes direction, there’s often a bit of chaos—miscommunications, tech glitches, and crossed wires. And with everything else going on, it could feel like we’re trying to navigate a ship through thick fog. This is definitely a day to avoid making any major decisions, especially around relationships. Take it slow, double-check your messages and travel plans, and maybe give yourself some grace. It’s a day for gentle steps, not big leaps.

Thursday, August 29th, brings a big, beautiful shift as Venus moves into her home sign of Libra just before 6:30 a.m. This is fabulous energy! When Venus is in Libra, she’s at her best—graceful, charming, and deeply relational. We become more interested in balance, fairness, and harmony, wanting to get along with others, maybe even feeling a bit more inclined to dress up or present ourselves in a more refined, subdued way. It’s a wonderful time to focus on building connections, finding common ground, and bringing a little more beauty into our lives.

As if that wasn’t enough, Venus immediately forms a trine to Pluto in Aquarius, which is retrograde. This is great for digging deep into our emotions and relationships without causing too much drama.

It’s an invitation to gain clarity on those deep-seated issues, especially around power dynamics or old emotional patterns. A chance to explore and understand what’s beneath the surface in a way that feels constructive and transformative.

The Cancer moon, also feeling at home, makes a lovely trine to retrograde Saturn in Pisces. This gives us emotional stability, a feeling that we can make sense of things or even make some quiet commitments to ourselves or others. It’s a supportive energy, where we feel more in tune with our deeper needs and the needs of those around us.

Mercury, now direct in Leo, is retracing its steps from a few weeks ago, allowing us to revisit conversations and thoughts with a fresh perspective. It’s also starting to form a trine to Chiron in Aries, making this a great time for healing conversations and expressing emotions in a more constructive, even pleasant, way.

And while the Virgo sun quietly continues its journey without any major aspects today, we have Mars in Gemini coming within three degrees of a square to Neptune in Pisces. This might start to bring in some foggy energy around our actions and intentions over the next few days. There could be a tendency of wanting to act in ways that align with our higher good, but feeling unclear on the best path forward.

As we move into the evening, the Cancer moon squares Chiron in Aries, adding tension and sensitivity based on old issues. It’s a night to be gentle with ourselves and others, recognizing that some old wounds or insecurities might surface. We might feel a little more tender, so it’s a good time to practice patience and self-care.

Friday, August 30th, starts with a deeply inspiring and sensitive energy, especially in the early morning hours. If you’re up around 5 a.m., you might feel this magical mix, or if you’re still dreaming, your dreams could be particularly vivid and insightful.

The Cancer moon forms a beautiful sextile triangle with Uranus in Taurus and Neptune in Pisces at 29 degrees. These late-degree water and earth signs are stirring up some powerful intuition. The Moon in Cancer and Neptune in Pisces both bring a dreamy, mystical flavour, while Uranus in Taurus adds a revolutionary but grounded twist. This combination can feel incredibly psychic and emotionally charged—a truly unique way to start the day.

As the day progresses, keep an eye on Mars in Gemini, which is slowly building in a square to Neptune in Pisces. This can create some confusion around our actions, making it feel a bit like we’re playing hide and seek in a hall of mirrors. It’s a good idea to take things slow and not rush into any decisions.

Mercury in Leo is still in its shadow phase, retracing steps, and it’s applying to that trine with Chiron in Aries. This can open the door to healing conversations, helping us to revisit and mend past misunderstandings.

Then, just after 10 a.m., the Moon shifts into Leo, bringing a different energy to the day. Initially, this might feel a bit intense—the Leo Moon quickly opposes Pluto in Aquarius, which could stir up some power struggles or deep emotions. This might make the late morning to midday period a little intense, but it’s also a time of powerful transformation if we lean into it with awareness.

By afternoon, the mood lightens as the Leo moon forms a sextile with Venus in Libra. This creates a more harmonious, expressive energy, encouraging us to find peace after any morning tension. It’s a good time to connect with others, enjoy some creative activities, or simply express yourself in a way that feels authentic.

As the day winds down, the Moon makes a trine to the North Node, offering a sense of inspiration or clarity about our path forward. It’s a lovely note to end the day on, possibly bringing some insightful dreams about where we’re heading or what we truly desire.

Saturday, August 31st, may not bring any new transits, but the shifts happening beneath the surface are significant. By evening, Venus in Libra moves within three degrees of the South Node in Libra, which starts stirring up some emotional territory. With Venus as the dispositor of that South Node, we’re entering a karmic space where thoughts about past relationships might surface. This could be a day where old loves or unresolved feelings from the past come back into our awareness. Even though Libra isn’t the most hypersensitive sign, Venus in Libra with the South Node carries a karmic weight, bringing things to a head that need to be addressed.

On top of this, Uranus in Taurus is about to station retrograde tomorrow and is now within two degrees of its sextile to Neptune in Pisces at 29 degrees. This creates a deeply intuitive and spiritual energy. We are on the verge of turning inward, ready to reflect on the changes that have been unfolding. It’s a time to ponder, to go deep within, and really think about the shifts in our lives.

Meanwhile, Mars in Gemini is within two degrees of its square to Neptune in Pisces, which is retrograde at 29 degrees. This can leave us feeling uncertain about our actions. Things could feel erratic or unclear, making it tricky to know which direction to take. In moments like this, leaning into empathy and compassion is a good idea.

The energies are unstable; Pluto at zero degrees and zero minutes of Aquarius is a strong, transformative influence. We’re at a zero point with Pluto retrograde—this is Pluto at its most intense. And tomorrow evening, for those on the West Coast, Pluto will retrograde back into the final degree of Capricorn, marking another powerful shift.

Today feels karmically loaded—a day thick with past life connections, maybe even past life lessons we need to release. Trust your intuition, even if your actions feel uncertain. There’s a strong sense of being guided, so pay attention to those subtle nudges.

Remember, Mercury in Leo is applying to a trine with Chiron in Aries, which will perfect in a couple of days. We’re all trying to heal, to release what no longer serves us, and to embrace what truly aligns with our deepest selves.

And on Saturday night, there’s a beautiful blessing as the Leo moon makes a lovely sextile to Jupiter. This brings an uplifting, expansive energy, like a cosmic hug to end the day. It’s a chance to feel more optimistic, to see the bigger picture, and to embrace hope and possibility. Allow this to guide you into the night, allowing yourself to dream big and feel the abundance of the universe.

Sunday, September 1st, might just be the most intense day of the week. We start with the Leo moon conjunct Mercury in Leo, both forming a trine to Chiron in Aries. With this balsamic almost dark moon, the energy is deep, introspective, and powerful.

This means that we might have some very intense conversations today—ones that could feel incredibly cathartic. It’s a day to speak from the heart, to connect deeply with our emotional center, and to let out whatever has been building up inside. These are conversations that can repair bonds, so don’t shy away from opening up.

Adding to this intensity, Uranus in Taurus stations retrograde just after 8 a.m. until January 30th, 2025. It will invite us to look inward and reflect on the internal changes that have been happening over the past six months. It’s time to consider the revolutions within us, the shifts in our values, and how we’ve been redefining stability and security.

This period is about going inward to understand how these shifts are shaping our path forward. When outer planets station, the days surrounding the switch can be unstable especially with Uranus, so expect the unexpected.

But that’s not all - Pluto is sitting at 0 degrees and 0 minutes of Aquarius, and is extremely potent in this position. Later this afternoon, Pluto will retrograde back into Capricorn. Bringing us back one last time to rethink and revisit our structures, foundations, and the systems we rely on. What needs to be rebuilt or released for good?

In the afternoon, the Leo moon squares Uranus, which has just stationed retrograde, adding an unpredictable and potentially explosive charge. Yet, the moon also makes a sextile to Mars in Gemini, which offers a glimmer of hope—a sense that even amidst the chaos, we can find a way through.

Mars, however, is applying to a square with Neptune in Pisces, creating confusion and uncertainty about our actions. It’s like trying to navigate in the fog, unsure of the next step. Uranus’s retrograde station and its sextile to Neptune add to this complexity and confusion.

It’s a day where things might feel combustible, yet somehow, there’s also a message to trust that we can figure things out.

Then, just before 5 p.m., the big shift occurs - Pluto retrogrades into Capricorn, where it will stay until November 19th. This is a pivotal moment, a call to revisit and rethink our structures for the final time in this sign. We’re being asked to look at the foundations of our lives and decide what’s solid, what’s crumbling, and what needs to be entirely rebuilt. The next 3 months are going to be life-changing, personally and for the collective.

The Leo moon then goes void of course just before 5:30 p.m., staying that way for the rest of the afternoon. This is a good time to try and chill out, though that might be easier said than done with all that’s in play.

Then, just before 9 p.m., the moon enters Virgo, setting the stage for the new moon in Virgo tomorrow. It’s a great evening to start winding down and preparing ourselves mentally and emotionally for the new beginnings ahead.

Monday, September 2nd, starts with a powerful aspect as Mercury in Leo makes the exact trine to Chiron in Aries. This is the third and final time we’re experiencing this trine, signaling a completion of a healing cycle that began on July 18th. Today, we may find ourselves reflecting on what we’ve learned about communication, self-worth, and healing over the past few weeks. There could be some interesting conversations, thoughts, or ideas emerging - it’s a potent opportunity to clear out any lingering wounds and integrate these lessons into our lives.

Think back to those dates - July 18th and August 23rd - to get a sense of what themes have been playing out for you. Today is about releasing any last stumbling blocks and moving forward with a clearer understanding of yourself and your worth.

Another major player today is Pluto, now at 29 degrees of Capricorn. This is a highly charged position, especially for those with placements between 27 and 29 degrees in the cardinal signs: Cancer, Aries, Capricorn, or Libra. We’re in a critical phase of clearing and transforming foundational aspects of our lives.

This will be in play until November 20th, giving us one last push to sort out what needs to be rebuilt or released.

And then, just before 7 p.m., we have the new moon in Virgo - a powerful time to set intentions and put things in motion for the fall season. This new moon is perfect for focusing on organization, health, and practical goals. It’s about getting down to business and planting seeds for what we want to manifest.

However, keep in mind that Mars in Gemini is applying in the. square to Neptune in Pisces at 29 degrees, that’s exact tonight.
This can feel like navigating a maze in the fog. Actions may feel uncertain or misguided, and it’s easy to get caught up in confusion or deception, either from within or from someone else.

It is easy to feel restless or frustrated, as Mars wants to act, to move forward, but Neptune clouds the path, making it difficult to know the right direction. Our motivations might not be clear, and we could find ourselves questioning our own intentions or the intentions of others.

The best approach under this influence is to slow down, avoid jumping to conclusions, and allow space for clarity to emerge. Lean into your intuition and avoid making decisions based on impulsive or unclear information.

Venus in Libra is moving close to the South Node, bringing up karmic themes around relationships and past connections. Today is not just about setting intentions it’s also for clearing the way, releasing old patterns, and heading for more balanced paths. This is a deeply karmic time, and is ripe for making significant shifts in how we relate to others and ourselves.

And to top it off, there’s a powerful sextile triangle involving the outer planets—Neptune, Pluto and Uranus. This isn’t just a fleeting moment; it will be a backdrop over the next couple of months, lasting well into October. Even as Neptune slips back to 27 degrees and Uranus to 26, these planets will remain within two to three degrees of each other over the next couple of months.

It’s a rare alignment, like a continuous background hum that wants us to tune in deeply, to be open to change, and to explore new, inspired ways of being. This is the universe whispering to us to pay attention, to look for the threads that connect us to a bigger picture, and to embrace all that’s unfolding.

Tuesday, September 3rd, continues with the intense energy, particularly in the morning. The Virgo moon, aligning with Saturn in Pisces, triggers a T-square involving Jupiter in Gemini and Saturn in Pisces.

This creates a challenging dynamic with mutable energies. Stay flexible while also keeping your cool, which might be easier said than done.

The push-pull of this T-square can feel emotionally taxing, like being caught between the desire to expand and a sense of restriction. Jupiter, at the apex, amplifies everything, making us feel like we’re either going over the top or being held back. It’s a tense, tightrope walk between wanting more and feeling constrained.

Adding to this, Mars in its final 29 degrees of Gemini, creates a scattered and erratic energy. Although it’s separating from its exact square to Neptune in Pisces, there’s still some lingering confusion.

Neptune has finally slipped back to 28 degrees, which slightly lessens the intensity, but we’re not completely out of the fog.

Mars here can feel chaotic, like a whirlwind of thoughts and actions that lack clear direction. This is Mars’s final day in Gemini before it moves into Cancer tomorrow, so there’s a strong sense of urgency or restlessness in the air.

Meanwhile, Venus is exactly conjunct the South Node in Libra at 5pm tonight, intensifying the focus on relationships and how we connect with others.

This conjunction brings karmic themes to the forefront, putting pressure on us to let go of old patterns or dynamics that are no longer serving us. With Venus lingering by the South Node, we are being pushed to release and recalibrate especially how we do partnerships. Are they healthy and nurturing, or just replays of the same unhealthy themes? Do the players change but the story stays the same?

And of course, we have that sextile triangle between Neptune, Pluto, and Uranus as a backdrop to it all. It provides a subtle, underlying current of transformation and spiritual insight amidst the turbulence.

So even as the mutable energies challenge us to adapt, this sextile triangle is a deeper, more eternal foundation to lean on. Today is not an easy day - there’s a lot of karmic work and change in the air - but, the universe is always nudging us toward growth and renewal.

Wednesday, September 4th, starts with a potent mix. The Virgo moon is triggering two very different dynamics. First, it forms a T-square with Mars in Gemini at 29 degrees and Neptune in Pisces at 28 degrees. This mutable T-square in the final degrees feels like we’re standing on shifting sands - unstable, fickle, and unclear. Mars in Gemini at the apex of this T-square adds a layer of unpredictability, creating a sense of being pulled in multiple directions at once.

Like we don’t quite know whether we’re coming or going, leaving us unsure of our next steps or actions. The energy is scattered and may make us feel like we’re spinning our wheels without making much progress.

But at the same time, there’s an interesting counterpoint: the moon, while opposing Neptune, also forms a kite configuration. This kite provides a stabilizing influence amid the mutable chaos. It suggests that while we might feel emotionally or mentally scattered, there is a deeper, more grounded force at play - one that is transformative and potentially enlightening.

It’s a day where we could definitely feel pushed and pulled in different directions, but also supported by some underlying, unseen structure that helps keep us on course. This invites us to navigate the chaos with a sense of curiosity and openness, looking for those moments of clarity that can guide us forward.

As the day progresses, Mars makes a significant shift, entering Cancer just after a quarter to one. Mars isn’t particularly comfortable in Cancer - here, actions are driven more by emotions than by logic or strategy.

Our moods dictate our movements, and it becomes harder to get things done in a straightforward way. We might find ourselves more reactive, more easily swayed by how we feel in the moment, and this can make it tricky to maintain focus or follow through on plans.

The emotional intensity continues to build as the Libra moon moves into a triple conjunction with the South Node in Libra and Venus in Libra by the evening. The moon finds itself sandwiched between these two, creating a super karmic and emotionally charged configuration. It’s a day for deep reflection on relationships - where they’re going, what needs to change, and what old patterns must be released.

And as if that weren’t enough, Mercury in Leo is starting to apply in a square to Uranus in Taurus again, bringing a sense of déjà vu. We’ve been here before, and this could stir up some unpredictable or volatile communications. Conversations may take unexpected turns, and we might be revisiting old arguments or misunderstandings. It’s a day to stay flexible and open, to expect the unexpected, and to handle communication with care.

Thursday, September 5th, feels much like a continuation of Wednesday, with the themes of emotional intensity and karmic reflection still very much in play.

As the day progresses, a new layer is added with the Virgo Sun beginning to strongly oppose Saturn in Pisces. This can be challenging to our sense of self and purpose. We might feel restricted, as if our plans aren’t unfolding as smoothly as we hoped. It’s a test of patience and endurance, requiring us to slow down, reassess, and perhaps adjust our expectations. This might feel like walking against the wind, where every step requires extra effort and determination. So try to stay disciplined, and don’t give up when the road feels blocked.

The Libra moon begins to apply in a trine to Jupiter in Gemini by the evening. This brings a breath of fresh air, allowing us to see the bigger picture and perhaps find a bit of optimism in the midst of any challenges. We can be more pragmatic and open to new perspectives and solutions. Even in times of difficulty, there’s always room for growth and learning.

Still, be cautious since Mercury in Leo continues to apply strongly in the square to Uranus in Taurus. Creating communication upheavals and strange developments. Conversations could take surprising turns, and there might be a sense of unpredictability in the air. So try to stay flexible, think before speaking, and be prepared for the unexpected.

Friday, September 6th, continues the intense energy of the week with several significant aspects. The day begins with the Libra moon opposing Chiron in Aries, which can stir up lingering wounds and insecurities. This might highlight areas where we’ve compromised too much, given up parts of ourselves for the sake of others, or failed to stand up for our own needs. It’s a sensitive and potentially tricky start to the day, encouraging us to reflect on our boundaries and how we navigate relationships.

As we move into the afternoon, the moon forms a sextile with Mercury, opening up a window for communication - much needed as Mercury is exact in its square to Uranus in Taurus later this evening, just before 9:30 p.m. The square brings a tense, unpredictable storm that can manifest as sudden conversations, unexpected news, or people losing their temper.

It’s the third and final time we’re experiencing this square, having dealt with it on July 21st and August 18th previously. Reflecting back on these dates may provide insight into unresolved issues or friction points that are coming up for resolution now. Ideally, this final square offers a point of release rather than further conflict, perhaps even paving the way for some resolution.

The moon’s sextile to Mercury adds a layer of optimism, suggesting that negotiation and staying open might help ease tensions.

The Sun in Virgo is also applying in its opposition to Saturn in Pisces, now within a degree. This is challenging to our sense of identity and self-worth, bringing up feelings of restriction or limitation.

It may feel like practical realities are holding us back from our dreams and ambitions, as Jupiter in Gemini is still within three degrees of its square to Saturn, further amplifying this theme of restricted expansion.

By the evening, the Libra moon reaches the critical 29th degree, which can create a sense of urgency or restlessness. There’s a tendency to want to smooth things over or keep the peace at all costs, but this can lead to a lack of authenticity or unresolved tensions bubbling under the surface.

And now it of squares Pluto in Capricorn at it’s critical degrees, this is edgy and confrontational despite the Libra moon’s best attempts to smooth things over, and especially combined with the Mercury-Uranus square, making communication very fraught. If you’re trying to cover anything up, it’s unlikely to stay buried for long on Friday night.

Once the moon enters Scorpio the tension of the earlier Libra-Pluto square still lingers, but there’s a chance for a more focused emotional depth.

The Scorpio moon forms a supportive trine with Mars in Cancer to close out the night, both in mutual reception helping to increase each other’s power - for what are otherwise weakened placements.

This gives us a bit of emotional stamina and determination, hopefully helping to channel our feelings constructively and find a sense of inner strength as we end the day. It’s going to be a very sensitive but potentially transformative Friday night.

Saturday, September 7th, is marked by a powerful and defining transit: the Virgo Sun, now halfway through Virgo season, makes its exact opposition to Saturn retrograde in Pisces. This is the centerpiece of the Saturday, setting a serious and introspective tone.

When the Sun opposes Saturn, it often brings themes of restriction, limitation, and the need for discipline into sharp focus. We may feel as though our plans and ambitions are under scrutiny, facing obstacles or delays that challenge our sense of progress and purpose.

Adding to the dynamic tension is Jupiter in Gemini, forming a somewhat wide but still significant T-square with both the Sun and Saturn. Jupiter, at the apex of this T-square, amplifies the push-pull energy between practical details and visionary thinking. This can manifest as overextension or exaggeration in our reactions.

We might feel caught between the desire to expand, grow, and take risks (Jupiter) and the need to stay grounded, disciplined, and realistic (Saturn). It’s like being pulled in different directions, where optimism clashes with the necessity for caution and restraint.

This pushes us to find a balance between our higher ideals and the grounded actions needed to achieve them.

This opposition between Virgo, a sign focused on detail, order, and practicality, and Pisces, a sign representing dreams, intuition, and the unseen, creates a tension between what is tangible and what is ethereal. We might feel torn between our desire to get things done in a methodical, grounded way and the elusive, sometimes overwhelming demands of our inner worlds or the collective unconscious.

With Saturn retrograde, we are revisiting or reassessing these themes, asking us to look back and consider how we’ve handled responsibilities, boundaries, and commitments. And where have we been slacking or perhaps even delusional?

It’s not a day for quick fixes or superficial solutions; rather, it’s a time to confront the hard truths about what is and isn’t working in our lives. We might feel the weight of our responsibilities, but this can also be a moment of great clarity, helping us to see where we need to make adjustments or set firmer boundaries.

The key is patience and perseverance. While the Sun-Saturn opposition can feel heavy or burdensome, it also provides an opportunity for growth through discipline, hard work, and a realistic look at our situations. It’s a day to ground ourselves, focus on what’s necessary, and resist the temptation to take shortcuts.

Embrace the lessons Saturn offers about structure, responsibility, and long-term planning and use this challenging energy to build something solid and lasting.

Sunday, September 8th, begins with a soothing and supportive alignment as the Scorpio moon forms a sextile to the Virgo Sun and a trine to Saturn in Pisces. This helps to smooth the way forward, offering a chance for deep emotional understanding and reflection on what we’ve recently experienced.

The insights that come through this morning could be profound, providing clarity on how to move beyond the stagnation or limitations revealed by the recent Saturn-Virgo Sun opposition.

It’s a moment where we might feel intuitively guided towards what needs to change, where to focus our efforts, and how to adjust our plans to make them work more effectively. There’s a sense of finding the deeper truths that set us free, aligning our emotions with our practical needs.

Adding to the day’s dynamic, Mercury is at the critical 29th degree of Leo, moving through its post-retrograde shadow phase. Being at this final degree can make things feel a bit unstable and unpredictable. People might be more outspoken, opinions could fly, and the atmosphere be charged with a mix of bold ideas and intense conversations. It’s a day where the air is thick with the potential for breakthroughs in thought and communication, but also for things to get a bit loud or dramatic. There could be some surprising statements or revelations, as Mercury at 29 degrees can bring things to a head, revealing what’s been simmering beneath the surface.

Then, just before midnight, Mercury moves into Virgo, its home sign. Here, Mercury is back where it feels comfortable, where it can think clearly and communicate with precision.

Now our minds begin to get back on track, and communication becomes more logical and detail-oriented.

It’s a great place for Mercury to be, where we can make sense of recent events, put things in order, and start to articulate our plans with greater clarity and purpose.

COMING UP…

As we move into the middle of September, one of the significant transits to be aware of is Mars in Cancer squaring the nodes. This can create a tense dynamic, especially for those with cardinal placements Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn around the four to seven-degree mark.

Mars squaring the nodes is crunch time, urging us to make crucial decisions about our direction and desires. We might feel pulled in different directions, unsure of which path to take or how to assert ourselves effectively. This can be very intense, pushing us to confront any indecision or hesitancy we’ve been carrying.

Adding to this, the Virgo Sun will square Jupiter in Gemini. This might challenge our sense of expansion and growth, putting pressure on our plans and ambitions. We could feel stretched too thin or face obstacles that force us to reconsider how we’re moving forward.

At least though, Saturn will have pulled out of this dynamic, offering some relief from the heaviness and restrictions we’ve been navigating. So while there will still be challenges, they may not feel as burdensome or insurmountable as they have in recent weeks.

On a more positive note, Venus in Libra will form a trine with Jupiter in Gemini during this mid-month period.

This brings a wave of optimism, particularly in relationships. It’s a time when connections can feel more expansive, light-hearted, and filled with possibilities.

There’s potential for greater harmony, mutual understanding, and a sense of adventure in our interactions with others. But Venus will also be opposing Chiron around this time, reminding us that relationships continue to be a major theme and area for growth. The opposition to Chiron could bring up old wounds or insecurities, asking us to address them with compassion and awareness.

Overall, the middle of September is a time of balancing the scales - navigating the tension between growth and limitation, optimism and reality, connection and healing.
