Weekly Horoscope For February 26 - March 3, 2024

Week in Overview

We are coming down from the full Moon in Virgo over the weekend. I had gone on a spontaneous cleaning, organizing and exercising frenzy in the build-up to it. And then when it finally arrived, it locked my own Neptune in a perfect T-square, on top of that Mercury in Pisces exactly squaring my Mercury.

It was a weekend spent in a lazy daze, watching Hallmark movies, listening to True Crime podcasts and completely disconnecting from anything productive.  I did feel somewhat guilty though, but not long enough to drag myself off that sofa!

Of course with Venus squaring Jupiter there was always that risk of over-indulging, overspending and pushing those Venutian comforts to their limit. Then Monday arrives and there's so much to catch up on.

Collectively this week we could perhaps feel similarly self-critical. Mercury which is already traditionally weakened in Pisces is now being burned out by the power of the Sun. But so is Saturn, the taskmaster and lord of Karma. The working week could begin with a mixture of self-doubt and restlessness.

While Venus squaring Jupiter may have made for an expansion of all those things Venus rules, such as love, pleasure and money. The good and more challenging sides of those got blown up since we were dealing with a challenging square.

The first half of this week has Mars locking itself in a square with Jupiter. A sudden drive to get everything done yesterday could hit many, particularly on Monday and Tuesday and especially for those with placements around the 10-degree mark of the fixed signs of Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio and Leo.

It can be exciting, and very motivating but can also come with the risk of taking on too much or not reading the fine print before committing to a project.

An image that comes to mind is when inspired by the little birdies chirping outside and the first sunny and mild day in weeks, you decide to organize your spring and summer wardrobe, drag everything out, the room a mess, with piles of clothing strewn about the slowly darkening room, as the Sun sinks beneath the horizon, and you slump amid the mess on the bed, pull your phone out only to see the weather forecast is saying it will snow this week.

It all seemed like such a good idea at the time and you had so much energy, only to see it slip away.

With Mercury and Saturn both under the Sun's beams, clarity isn't that strong. It really could feel like trying to drive into the morning Sun while it burns through the lingering overnight fog. It's dazzling and blinding.

The best way to use the start of the week may be to tune into our imaginations, using the fuel of Mars in Aquarius and the otherworldly visual power of Mercury in Pisces to dream up what we most desire, perhaps a better life or way of being.

Flights of fancy that may have kernels of truth and gems of possibility hidden in them. Write it down, talk with those trusted friends but avoid making major commitments.

There will be more facts coming to light once the Sun illuminates both Mercury and Saturn on Wednesday, February 28, the last day of the month in this leap year.

On the west coast, the Cazimi between the Sun and Mercury in Pisces occurs just after midnight on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Saturn will join Mercury in an exact conjunction just after 7 am on Wednesday and then the Sun will conjunct Saturn just before 1:30 pm. So although not occurring at the exact moment, all three will be hovering at 9 degrees of Pisces and within minutes of each other, making for a very potent meeting.

After a lot of doubt and brain fog, clarity arrives. Our minds could be very alive, seeing something as if for the first time, exactly as it is. Since we are dealing with Pisces this could be a deeper inner knowing rather than a structured thought pattern. Those with personal placements around the 9-degree mark of the Mutable signs of Pisces, Sagittarius, Gemini and Virgo will feel this the most. However, the Sun will be lighting up everyone's chart at that 9 degrees of Pisces.

Saturn is very supportive when we are responsible, mature and committed. For many today will be a key moment showing where it is time to commit and where perhaps they need to reallocate their resources and energy. With Pisces season we are aware that there is a finite amount of time we all have in each incarnation. Are we spending those precious moments in a way that honours the divine of which we are a part? How is this life we have created helping us to live not only as physical but also as spiritual beings? Is it an accurate reflection of that silence between the thoughts that is the true self?

Wednesday can help us to track a new course, to reimagine what is possible and where we want to commit. This is a deeply personal moment that will require self-honesty and courage to make the decisions needed to live authentically. Do be aware that the Libra Moon will be void of course for most of Tuesday and Wednesday until it enters Scorpio just after 7 pm. So while there will be a lot of clarity on Wednesday, thanks to the Cazimi, avoid making any decisions until it has made its ingress.

If you have fixed sign placements around the 17-degree mark of Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio or Leo, Friday and into the weekend could be a little challenging especially for relationships and finances since that Scorpio Moon triggers a brief challenging T-square with Venus and Uranus. Venus is starting to square the unpredictable planet and Friday morning they both get a jolt from that very emotional and brooding Moon. Some could be itching to dramatically change the status quo in areas Venus rules. Change is always inevitable, but it is better to make it in a way that causes minimal disruption. That could be tricky for some.

Chiron has moved on from the very rare conjunction to the north node, and many of us will indeed be ready to take steps into a more aligned future.

We finish out the week with the Sun, Mercury and Saturn making a beautiful sextile to Jupiter. We ARE getting older, every single day, but we are also wiser. That inner wisdom and knowing becomes easier to see, feel and communicate. Our plans are starting to gain solid footing, thanks to Saturn's grounding influence.

And now Jupiter's benevolent energy is amplifying all those endeavours. The battle scars both visible and beneath the surface are a testimony of having lived and learned. As we learn to trust our experience and intuition, we now see that it is OK to dream big and take some calculated risks. Just as the last of the frost clears, it's time to start planting seeds of intention that have the potential to blossom into magnificent blooms. There will be work to do, but the toil will be rewarded.

Not only that Venus is also making a lovely sextile to Chiron and the North Node and trine to the South Node. Relationship wounds and self-doubt are getting a healing balm. It's easier to feel compassion for ourselves and others while establishing healthy boundaries. We know more intuitively now what's ours and what is another's.

With this understanding, trust can blossom and our hearts open to the power of love and forgiveness. We can honour past experiences and those we met along the way, but at the same time release emotional baggage that no longer serves us and embrace the path ahead.

Sunday morning the Third-Quarter-Moon square in Sagittarius can be very challenging. On the same day, Venus is exact in her square to Uranus. Mars will be spurring us on to make a decision that sets us free with its sextile to Chiron and the North node.

Mercury will be applying in the trine to Uranus making words and ideas fly - even if they land haphazardly, keeping the lid on things will be increasingly difficult. Pisces and Sagittarius brimming with philosophical idealism facing a sudden slap of cold hard reality. Perhaps someone throws us a curveball and fatalistic defeatism starts to creep in. That Sagittarius Moon will be also making the rounds squaring off with Mercury and Saturn.

Life will forever be filled with setbacks, stumbling blocks and pain. So with a Pisces pile up now in the heavens and the gift of the broad vision of Sagittarius, we are called to accept this stark fact. How do we live in a world where endings are inevitable? Each of us, the master of our little vessel, the soul, bobbing about on the sea, comforted by the sounds of the other sailors, and the spontaneous songs we sing together. And perhaps this is the way to navigate not only this weekend but the days, months and years ahead. In the company of those who love and encourage us, no matter what lies ahead.

Coming Up…

Next week on Saturday, March 9, Mercury enters Aries. From the foggy, dreamy and surreal ponderings of Pisces, we emerge into the fast, driven and fiery flood of daylight in Aries.

On Sunday, March 10, the New Moon in Pisces is a potent lunation to set intentions around our spiritual goals, compassion and the power of our imagination. Everything that can manifest in physical reality is birthed first with the spark of an idea.
