Weekly Horoscope July 29-August 4, 2024

Week in Overview

This week has a really positive tone, even with the waning Moon which is more introspective. It’s a great time to show ourselves, express our feelings, take steps toward future goals and embrace the joy and love around us. Just be mindful of finances, especially towards the end of the week with Venus in Leo and Uranus in Taurus clashing. Overall, it’s excellent for reflecting on where we want to head and who it’s with, as we set things in motion.

Monday, July 29th, kicks off with a bang! The Taurus Moon conjuncts Uranus just before 9 AM, giving us an energizing start to the week. It's a perfect way to shake off any Monday blues and dive right in to what we want to achieve. The Sun is still sextile to Mars, continuing to fuel us with energy. Although it's a waning Moon phase, which is typically more about winding down, this combination helps us get organized and also put ourselves out there.

Adding to the mix, the Sun in Leo and Mars in Gemini are both making fantastic aspects to the Nodes. The Sun is applying in a sextile to the South Node and a trine to the North Node, while Mars is trining the South Node and sextile the North, all of these working together in such a positive way. Making us think about our future direction and who we want alongside us.

With the North Node in Aries and the South Node in Libra, we are balancing independence with our relationships and with the planet of action and the sun which is our self identity involved we are more likely to do this in a win-win, proactive way.

Venus in Leo is also applying in a trine to Chiron in Aries, urging us to reflect on past wounds that have impacted our confidence and our approach to love and money. We are pondering how we show up and stand up for ourselves, giving us lots of food for thought.

The Moon goes void just before 2 PM, then enters Gemini around 2:30 PM, forming a trine with Pluto in the afternoon. This is excellent for having deep, meaningful conversations, especially if you're looking to sort out old issues.

However, be mindful of the Moon squaring Mercury in Virgo in the evening, which could bring a bit of tension especially overthinking and getting bogged down in petty details. Overall, it's a day that can be packed with opportunities for reflection, action, and important conversations.

Tuesday, July 30th, shapes up to be a pretty decent day. The Moon was conjunct Mars overnight, which might have made sleep a bit restless, but it brings a surge of energy into the morning.

The Moon in Gemini is making lovely aspects, forming a sextile to the Sun and the North Node. Energizing our minds and sparking ideas and conversations about our future and relationships.

It's a great time to reflect on how this year has been going so far, to talk, ponder, think, and connect.

Just before 1 PM, Venus is exact in the trine to Chiron, continuing the theme of reflecting on our wounds related to love, money, and relationships. It's perfect for having deep but also assertive conversations about where we've felt hurt and how we've grown from those experiences. We are being reminded of out inherent worth and right to shine despite our flaws.

In the afternoon, the Moon conjuncts Jupiter, bringing in lots of excitement and exuberance. With the Moon in Gemini creating a stellium with Mars and Jupiter, our thoughts and communication get a huge boost. It’s great for going out, socializing or just strutting your stuff on an afternoon stroll

Tuesday night the Sun perfects the exact trine to the North Node and sextile to the South Node. This emphasizes our identity, our future, and where we're headed. It's a powerful moment to reflect on where we get to shine and how we're aligning with our true path.

All this energy on Tuesday supports us in thinking about our purpose and the relationships and connections that are a part of our journey forward. Tuesday is also just a great day for short trips around the neighborhood, staying curious, and seeing what new opportunities and ideas come up.

Wednesday July 31, the morning brings a really nice alignment. The Gemini Moon forms a sextile triangle with Chiron in Aries and Venus in Leo.This is perfect if we want to express ourselves, share our feelings, and address any lingering wounds in relationships, finances, and self-worth. It's an ideal time for honest conversations, as talking about our experiences can be incredibly healing. Remembering, a problem shared is a problem halved. We’ll likely find that others have faced similar challenges, and there’s nothing more comforting than finding out you’re not alone.

While there's this really nice sextile triangle in the morning with Venus, there's also a bit of a bump in the road that’s coming up. Venus is starting to square Uranus in Taurus. This could make things a bit unstable and edgy. We might feel a growing tension in relationships and finances, with people wanting to shake things up or break free from routines. Make sure you have some money set aside, as finances could get a little rocky. It's a good idea to be prepared for the unexpected in both money and partnerships over the next few days.

Mars is also applying in a sextile to the North Node, keeping the air charged with a sense of purpose and destiny, even as the Moon wanes. This brings a drive and determination to get us moving towards our destiny. It can manifest as a sudden burst of motivation to pursue our goals and dreams.

We might feel more courageous and willing to take risks that align with our true purpose. Just be careful about blowing a lot of money or making sudden change in your relationship given the Venus Uranus square. Overall it’s a great time to assert ourselves and make moves towards our future. Keep an eye out for opportunities that seem to align perfectly with where you want to go.

As evening approaches, the Moon squares Neptune at 29° Pisces around 8 PM. This can create a sense of disorientation or confusion. Be cautious, especially when driving or dealing with potentially tricky conversations. Avoid alcohol if you can, and stay grounded.

Later on Wednesday night, the Moon enters its home sign of Cancer just after 8 PM, offering a comforting and nurturing energy. This Leo Sun in its home sign and Cancer Moon in its home sign and Mercury also in its home sign makes for a rather comfortable flow of energy. Settle in for a quiet evening, reflecting on your feelings and future plans.

On Thursday, August 1, we’re dealing with a really interesting mix. The Sun, in fiery Leo, and Mars, in airy Gemini, are both making supportive aspects to the North Node in Aries and the South Node in Libra. This setup gives us a strong boost in energy and direction. We might feel excited and motivated about new opportunities and our future.

But here's where things get a bit tricky: the Cancer Moon is squaring both nodes. The Moon in Cancer is all about our emotions and home life, and it's in its cozy, familiar space.

It can bring up feelings of insecurity and sensitivity. The square to the nodes, creates a lot of tension. This could manifest as emotional hurdles or feeling out of sync with our goals. While the Sun and Mars give us clear, inspiration and drive, the Moon's influence might stir up feelings of insecurity or emotional conflict.

So, we might feel a clash between our ambitious drive and the need to address deeper emotional needs. It could be harder to reconcile our inner feelings with our outward ambitions. The energy is there to make things happen, but we might face unexpected emotional bumps along the way. Home or family issues could come up, for example, that put a check on our ambition.

In addition to the waning Cancer Moon’s emotional tension, Venus is coming close to that square with Uranus. This adds a layer of unpredictability to our relationships and finances. We might feel a bit more unsettled or edgy, with potential surprises or disruptions in these areas. Thursday we should stay flexible and be prepared for some unexpected twists, especially regarding our connections with others and how we handle our money.

Friday, August 2nd, brings some intense energy. Venus is exact in the square to Uranus in the morning, creating a clash between our desires and unexpected changes. Venus in Leo seeks joy, romance, and creative expression, while Uranus in Taurus is about creating stability and material security but only after going through radical change.

The Venus-Uranus square will likely be the most dominant influence this Friday, which is also Venus' day. This aspect often brings a strong sense of unpredictability and disruption in relationships and finances. We might feel a push to break free from old patterns, relationships and even our values anything that challenge our comfort zones could really appeal. Fixed sign placements around the 26 degrees of Scorpio, Aquarius, Leo and Taurus could be feeling extra antsy.

Happening at the same time, the Moon's trine with Saturn provides a stabilizing influence, offering emotional support and a grounding effect. While it might not completely counterbalance the Venus-Uranus clash, it can help us handle the chaos with a bit more resilience and clarity. So, though the day may lean towards unpredictability and disruption, the Moon-Saturn aspect can offer some steadying support to help us navigate through it. We might be able to pause and think before jumping the gun on a relationship or financial decision.

Friday afternoon can bring even more emotional tension as the Cancer Moon squares Chiron in Aries. This might highlight any lingering wounds or insecurities, especially related to our emotional needs and self-identity. We may feel more sensitive or vulnerable, and old issues could resurface.

Friday is definitely a day to slow down, because we might need to navigate through some emotional discomfort and it’s good to remember to be gentle with ourselves and others.

On Saturday, August 3rd, while we sleep, the Cancer Moon at 29 degrees will be trining Neptune in Pisces around 3:30 AM. This can create vivid, surreal dreams and offer strong intuitive insights, so it’s a good idea to have a dream journal nearby.

When we wake up, the Moon will have moved into big, exuberant and friendly Leo, just after 4 AM. However, the day starts off with tension as that Leo Moon opposes Pluto in Aquarius. Watch out for conflict or power struggles. The morning might feel quite intense and potentially dramatic.

Throughout the day, the Moon’s energy will gradually shift from this confrontational start, allowing us to tap into Leo's more playful and creative side.

As the tension from earlier in the day eases, it becomes a good time for self-expression and finding joy in activities that boost our confidence. Get out, see friends and enjoy that summer mood.

When evening arrives on Saturday, August 3rd, we’ll start to sense the energy building up towards the New Moon tomorrow. The Leo Moon will make some fantastic aspects: it will trine the North Node and sextile the South Node. This is the same dynamic position the Sun was in a few days ago, and it's coming close to the Sun as well.

Even though it's a dark Moon, this can still bring a lot of positivity. The Moon's trine to the North Node can help us connect with our sense of purpose and potential, while the sextile to the South Node might allow us to release old patterns and embrace new opportunities. With the Moon also sextiling Mars, we could feel a surge of motivation and enthusiasm.

Under a dark Leo Moon, we can still experience an underlying sense of optimism and energy. This is a great time for setting intentions, as our emotions and drive are aligned in a way that can help us channel our creativity and passion effectively. Despite the waning lunar light, the alignment with the Nodes and Mars can help us tap into our inner strength and vision, setting a positive tone for the New Moon.

Sunday, August 4th is a massive day in astrology. We kick things off with the New Moon in Leo at 4:13 AM. This is a fantastic time for setting intentions related to love, creativity, and personal joy. We are embracing our heart-centered desires and playful, creative spirit. And if you're a Leo, you will really want to set your intentions.

The New Moon is in a sextile with Jupiter in Gemini, adding an abundant and expansive tone to this lunation. It’s one of those New Moons where we can really feel the potential for growth and new opportunities.

However, Venus in Leo is at 29 degrees, which is a bit of a tricky spot. This final degree can bring dramatic and over-the-top expressions of love and affection. Watch for diva like behaviour and be careful with overspending.

Later in the evening, Venus moves into Virgo at 7:23 PM. This shift our focus from fun and socializing to getting organized and paying attention to details. Our approach to relationships and finances may become more practical and discerning, though we might also become a bit picky.

Venus in Leo was all about attention and being big and bright much like the sun, but as Venus moves into Virgo, we shift towards expressing love and self-worth through service, attention to detail and thoughtful actions.

Compounding the energy, Mercury the dispositor of this Venus, stations retrograde just before 10 PM. The retrograde lasts until August 28. During this time it’s wise to avoid signing contracts or making major decisions. We'll likely need to revisit and double-check things from the past. Use these next three or so weeks to sort through and review what’s already been done. It could also cause communication issues, travel delays, and tech problems especially as it stations. Given this, it’s probably wise to avoid making major decisions or traveling this weekend. Instead, focusing on manifestation and staying in could be a better use of this potent energy especially that Leo New Moon.

COMING UP…

Next week should have an overall positive and uplifting tone. With the Leo Sun sextiling Jupiter in Gemini and Jupiter and Mars moving closer, we can expect an optimistic and energetic boost. Mercury retrograde conjunct Venus might bring up some old relationship themes, but overall, the waxing Moon will help increase our energy and motivation. It should be a good time to focus on growth and renewal and of course some summer fun.
